Rex Ryan announced some big blows to the team after practice today.
The first was the largest. Despite the fact that he participated in non-contact drills for the first time today, Darrelle Revis is out for Sunday’s game, and will not even travel to Pittsburgh. He has not been cleared for contact as of yet, and as he said earlier in the week, Revis would not be a game-time decision, so they decide to put him out now. Kyle Wilson will start in his place, and will be his chance to show us what he is made of. This is a big blow to the defense as we all well know, as the Steelers have some big threats on the outside.
The others are in the form of two hamstrings. Dustin Keller, and Bryan Thomas will not travel to Pittsburgh either. They both are still bothered by hamstring injuries. Garrett McIntyre will start in place of Thomas, and I am sure we will see a heavy dose of Jeff Cumberland in lieu of Keller.
Dustin was a non-factor last week, but not having Bryan Thomas will serve as a big blow to the rushing defense.
A tough test just got tougher for the New York Jets.
