It’s Thursday, and with that comes the updated injury report. Here we will provide you the changes that have occurred since yesterday and the report filed by Max McKenna(click on his name to read).

DID NOT PRACTICE

DB Isaiah Trufant(ankle) TE Dustin Keller(hamstring) DB LaRon Landry(Heel)

These are three downgrades, as all of these guys participated yesterday, at a minimum, on a limited basis. There is no believe that Landry won’t play, he is still on a pitch count. Keller is worrisome, as he declared himself ready to go last week, but didn’t get a lot of action, and wasn’t a factor.

The Jets should have Sione Po’uha and Eric Smith back, which will help the run defense greatly.

LIMITED PARTICIPATION IN PRACTICE

FB John Conner(knee) WR Jeremy Kerley(low back)

These are two upgrades on guys that did not participate in Wednesday’s practice. Kerley was huge last week against the Bills, his presence would be sorely missed if he couldn’t go, so him practicing is an excellent sign.

The biggest news, as we reported earlier, was the status of Darrelle Revis, which remains unchanged. He can take part in physical activity, just not contact. There is still time for him to be cleared to play after his concussion, but Rex did tell us that he won’t be a game time decision. He will not be getting on the plane if he can’t be cleared on Saturday, so he will need to be cleared by then. Yes, we are 3-0 without Revis in the Rex Ryan era, but we need him against some tough downfield WRs on the Steelers.

Now, the updates for the Pittsburgh Steelers:

DID NOT PRACTICE

T Max Starks(illness)

This is the first time he has hit the list this week, but illness doesn’t sound like anything major.

FULL PRACTICE

RB Jonathan Dwyer(foot) DE Evander Hood(back)

Dwyer did not practice yesterday, and Hood was limited. Dwyer is expected to get an increased workload against the Jets, despite Rashard Mendenhall’s full participation in practice, so the Jets need to be ready for this guy.

James Harrison hasn’t practiced all week, but he thinks he will be ready to play on Sunday. Troy Polamalu has not practiced either, so the Jets could get a big break if the Steelers don’t have either of these guys available. A tough team gets tougher if one, or both of these guys are active on Sunday.
