Today is definitely a step in the right direction for Darrelle Revis and the Jets.
At today’s media briefing, Rex Ryan announced that cornerback Darrelle Revis has been cleared for physical activity, running and lifting, but not physical contact as of yet. Revis is coming off of a mild concussion, suffered when accidentally kicked in the head by teammate Bart Scott.
It’s only Wednesday, so there is plenty of time for Darrelle to get ready. The team will continue to follow the NFL’s protocol for head injuries while hopefully getting Darrelle ready to play on Sunday. If he cannot go, Kyle Wilson will start in his place.
We all know that, despite is INT on Sunday, Wilson is still a significant downgrade from Revis, and with Big Ben always looking to push that ball down the field, we need Darrelle back there taking out Antonio Brown, or whomever else they will have him guard.
We will continue to monitor the situation all week, and keep you posted.
NEWS AND NOTES
In other news, the Jets have swapped WRs on the practice squad, bringing back Stanley Arukwe and releasing Royce Pollard.
WR Clyde Gates will be activated for the game on Sunday.
