The Jets definitely had a busy day today. Whether it was a good day, or an interesting day, remains to be seen. Today was the day that players waived yesterday could be signed by other teams. If you missed the signings, check out JETSerious with his post earlier in the day by clicking here.

Going on with the day, the Jets waived three players, S Antonio Allen, DT Marcus Dixon, and TE Dedrick Epps. Clearly these were moves made to free up space for the three guys the Jets signed earlier today: DT Isaako Aaitui, WR Clyde Gates, and TE Konrad Reuland.

The Jets also announced the guys signed to the practice squad, and here they are.:

PRACTICE SQUAD
T Paul Cornick
LB Marcus Dowtin
DB Donnie Fletcher
WR Royce Pollard
LB Ricky Sapp
TE Hayden Smith
WR Jordan White

No real surprises on this list, some were frustrated that a couple of these guys didn’t make the roster. The frustrating part of today was, one, losing Terrance Ganaway to St. Louis. He clearly showed some talent, and I am sure the Jets hoped he would clear waivers and make the practice squad.

Secondly is no move being made for a proven WR or RB, at least not yet. No offensive line interest either, apparently. The team has no depth on offense, and unless these guys are diamonds in the rough, there still isn’t.

I hope Mike T knows what he is doing.
