Jets Waive 3 More, Roster Down to 74

It’s been a big day for Mike Tannenbaum and the crew at Florham Park, NJ. Today is the first cut down day, and rosters have to be down to 75 players by 4 PM ET today. The Jets are now down to 74 players after the most recent moves.

In addition to the moves we announced earlier today, there have been 3 more moves made. The Jets have announced the following three players have been waived: WR Stanley Arukwe, WR Wes Kemp, and RB Jeremy Stewart. They have room now to sign one more should they wish to get up to the 75 player maximum.

No real surprises here, as none of these guys did anything notable to date during training camp. Not sure if any of these guys will even be on the practice squad. It will be interesting to see of the extra spot is used for a quick signing, of maybe a wide receiver or a blocking tight end.

Tannenbaum is always looking, maybe he will surprise us by finally making a move. Time will tell.
