Finally, the news we all have been waiting to hear. Rex Ryan got us out of our misery this morning.

Jets head coach Rex Ryan has announced that Wayne Hunter will no longer be the starter at right tackle. He will return to his previous role as a 6th lineman, and a player in jumbo packages. Austin Howard will get his chance, starting Sunday night against the Carolina Panthers. Hunter was made aware of the move this morning.

Coach let him down easy, saying that he is best as a 6th offensive lineman, being as classy as possible. Austin Howard has not been named the starter for week one, but Rex stated he has earned the right to have a chance.

Sources are telling ESPN New York’s Rich Cimini that the Jets are exploring trade options at the right tackle spot. However, after 4 sacks last Saturday night, this news really doesn’t come as a surprise. But it sure is exciting, isn’t it Jets fans?
