Good afternoon Jets fans.  Here are some thoughts and observations from what is turning into a very feisty New York Jets training camp:

      • Rex Ryan is doing a good job taking more of an active role as the leader of these men.  Fights are occurring a lot.  Yes, they are normal.  But I still have no problem with Rex getting annoyed.  He has to make sure that this team doesn’t stop caring for one another.  There is a difference between emotion, and problems, and coach has to make sure they don’t cross it.  Good job.
      • Now back to football news.  Aaron Maybin is continuing to impress.  2 more sacks today.  He basically has been unblockable, and it will be great to see this translate into a game.
      • Greg McElroy had a good day from the third quarterback position, throwing for 2 TDs during team drills.
      • Apparently, nobody can cover Josh Baker so far in camp either.  He caught another pair of TDs, one from McElroy, and one from Tebow.  His play on Friday night should be fun to watch as well.
      • Darrelle Revis had some tightness in the hamstring most likely, as he didn’t take part in all reps today.  Hopefully the Jets will be cautious.
