Some Thoughts from Jets Monday Practice

Hi all. Here are some thoughts to take from Monday’s practice, based on the reports of the media members that were there. Everything except for the fight of course:

  • Nice day for Quinton Coples and Damon Harrison, with 2 sacks a piece.  I had read a lot about people getting worried about Coples having some red flags begin to appear, so him doing well is a great sign.  And we all love big Dame.
  • Stephen Hill has continued to impress.  People are calling a catch of his the play of camp, as he beat Darrelle Revis for a 50 yard TD catch from Mark Sanchez.  Hopefully we see more of that this fall.
  • Nick Folk might have a slight edge in the kicking competition, as he made all four of his field goals today, while Josh Brown missed two.
  • Apparently, LaRon Landry is back in full force.  He laid a pretty fierce hit on Bilal Powell during team drills, which got a bunch of oohs and aahs.

Tune in tomorrow morning, when JETSerious comes to you with his first hand observations from today’s practice.  He told me it will me full of the great photos you guys have come to know him for.   Stay tuned.
