Big Things Expected from Mo Wilkerson

See, we are not the only ones to talk about about this guy.

The Jets defense returning to top form will be a key factor in the Jets returning to the playoffs in 2012. Under the direction of Karl Dunbar, the defensive line is expected to do great things. One guy who is expected to have a big year, and began his ascent at the end of 2011, is Mo Wilkerson. It did not go unnoticed.

“I think he can be mentioned with guys going to the Pro Bowl,” defensive coordinator Mike Pettine said this week at training camp. “He’s that good.”

Rex Ryan feels the same way:

“I really believe he’s going to have a huge year for us,” Ryan said. “There are so many things you can do with him. He can play outside, inside, right, left, down the middle of the center, whatever it is. He’s got great athleticism. He’s in great condition.

Mo is in great condition, as he has lost 10 pounds, not at the team’s request, but so he can become a better pass rusher.

They are planning to use Mo on the outside in certain pass rush packages. The more the merrier as far as I am concerned. Just get to the QB.
