The Jets have many young defensive linemen coming into camp this summer. Among that bunch is Martin Tevaseu, who is entering his third training camp with the New York Jets. He was active for five games last year, and see what he said in his Q and A about how he is going to increase that number:

I can improve on all phases, getting bigger, faster and stronger. My thing is, I never want to be satisfied where I’m at, I always want to find a way to get better. So if I had to choose one, I want to be faster. I lost weight, so I know I’m down on body fat. I’m leaner right now, definitely leaner. So, I feel stronger and a lot more athletic. I feel fast, but there’s always room for improvement.

The Jets have a theme for 2012 of “One Step Faster”, and this work that Tevaseu is putting in certainly fits in with that theme. It’s great to hear young guys that are motivated too.
