Josh Baker is heading into his second full season as a member of the New York Jets. He talked about how he feels good about having a full offseason, in his summer Q and A:
I wasn’t able to do this last year, and I always heard the guys last year who said, “Man, I feel bad for the rookies who didn’t have this last year.” It makes a world of difference being able to go into training camp with a solid base and foundation to build on, and you know to actually hear a play and think beyond what you have to do and get that concept. Like last year, it was a foreign language in the huddle and I was trying to decipher that language. So, OTAs definitely helped.
Having a full offseason can only help, especially with a new concept on offense coming in to play.
