The Jets have been a bit lax on reporting QB injuries of late. Remember 2008? Brett Favre fell apart at season’s end, and then we learned during the offseason that he was hurt. So there is precedence for the Jets hiding something like this.

In 2011, Mark Sanchez only completed 5 passes for more than 21 yards, and by contrast, he completed more passes than that to Braylon Edwards in 2010.

Was there a reason?

There were rumors he had pinched a nerve in the Denver loss.

Who really knows? It’s very possible that Plaxico is making excuses, or trying to save face. If it’s true, it does explain Mark’s decrease in numbers towards the end of 2011.
