Jets offensive guard Matt Slauson has been slowed by injury rehab so far this offseason. He is looking forward to, and is excited about, getting on the field and working with new offensive coordinator Tony Sparano. See what he had to say in his Q and A with the Star Ledger:
I did get a couple ‘Attaboys,’ so that was good. But I’m really excited to be out there. He’s a great coach, and I could really see that over the last couple weeks. I hated not being in there.
He’s getting the time during the break with his son Montgomery, who was born right on the heels of the 2010 playoffs, which made that a bit of an exciting time for Slauson.
I think we are all looking forward to the offensive line working as a complete group with Sparano. We haven’t really seen it yet, and this will obviously be pivotal to the Jets 2012 success.
