Nick Bellore made the Jets as an undrafted free agent last season. He was active for all 16 games as a special teams player. He talked about an interesting note this offseason:

I think the biggest thing is our attendance as a team, because from what I hear, it’s very low with other teams. And from what I hear, we’re just about 100 percent. So it’s just like college, where they say it’s voluntary, but everyone is there. It’s the same thing here, and that’s really cool. You form bonds with teammates, and it breeds competition, which I think helps us in the long run.

He is also a big time weightlifter, winnning the award as the top one on the team, deadlifting over 600 pounds this offseason.

Nick Bellore is a great story, coming from not even being drafted to a player that makes a weekly contribution. He’s a quality kid, and will get the chance to make his mark in 2012 as well.
