You can’t blame the Jets for wanting to bring in competition. After two good years in Dallas, Nick Folk’s accuracy has gone down in a big way, never eclipsing 77% on his field goals. He certainly makes us nervous in big spots.

However, he has had his great moments as well. Remember this from 2010 in the Wild Card game?

Nick Folk hasn’t been all bad.

In comes Josh Brown. If you look at his stats, he is known for one thing. Consistency. Through his 9 year career so far, Brown has maintained a FG percentage of 80.9%. Had it not been for a down year in 2011 (75%), he likely would be over 81% for his career.

You can make the argument that someone that consistent will be a better fit.

It is an interesting battle, and one to watch when training camp opens.

Who will be the kicker, Josh Brown or Nick Folk? Please leave your answer below in the comments section…
