Time to complete my All Time Jets roster, with Mike Westhoff’s crew. The special teamers are the final group to add to the team.

Remember the rules, they must have played 1985 or later. Here we go..

PUNTER:Steve Weatherford-This one was close for me, as I was considering Dave Jennings. However, in his time that qualified, Jennings wasn’t quite as good statistically as Steve Weatherford. In his two years in the Green and White, Weatherford averaged at or over 42 yards per punt, and in 2010, dropped 42 punts inside the twenty yard line. He is a weapon that we have missed when we let him go, so he deserves his spot on the team.

KICKER:Pat Leahy-There really is no other choice on this as you go through Jets history. He’s the leading scorer in team history, and although that is in part due to longevity, his years after 1985 were still top quality. From 1985 through the end of his career in 1991, he only had one year where his FG% was under 70%. His career percentage is 71.4%. He is a lock for the spot on this team.
