Bart Scott has a big season coming up in 2012. As a founding member of the Rex Ryan Jets defense, he is looking to rebound from a down year in 2011. He sat down with Jenny Vrentas for her Q and A series, and he had a very interesting answer to a question regarding the difference between this year and last:

Not a sense of entitlement. Understanding how hard it is in this game, and how blessed we were to be where we were (in back-to-back AFC Championship Games). And how hungry we are to get back there, and be able to prove the doubters wrong. They have an opinion of us, and sometimes perception is reality. But it doesn’t make the perception the truth.

It shows an interesting behind the scenes look into the 2011 season, especially on defense. They were slow, we all know that. We didn’t know that they felt like they were owed success, and that is never a good attitude to have.
