Count our blessings, because this news could have been a lot worse.

Muhammad Wilkerson was involved in a car accident early Saturday morning. His car flipped, according to Chris Mortensen, after colliding with another on the Garden State Parkway in New Jersey.

Fortunately for Mo and all Jets fans, he was not seriously injured. He was taken to team facilities to be treated for minor injuries, and although those are unknown at this time, they will not affect the season.

Join me in saying thank goodness.

Garden State Trooper Christopher Kay said, however, Wilkerson was charged with careless driving and failure to maintain his lane after he struck a Toyota Siena with his 2011 Dodge Challenger, according to the police report. Police responded after being notified of the accident at 4:29 a.m. on Saturday. He was not driving under the influence, per Trooper Kay.
