What is Kris Jenkins Talking About?

To a point, Kris is right. The Jets are driven to dominate headlines. Whether they admit it or not, it’s clear. They also want to make their fans happy. The Jets are driven to give us what we want, as Super Bowl.

But what is Kris talking about right now? What exactly, have the fans made noise about?

Nobody made noise for the Jets to bring in Tim Tebow. Unless I have been asleep, there was no begging from the fans to bring in Tim Tebow. That was a business decision, whether Woody will admit it or not.

Even if you go back further, back to 2008. Brett Favre was not called upon by the fans. Just because the fans warm up to a move(I was not one of them), doesn’t mean the fans wanted that move. Nobody expected that move to be made either, but the Jets wanted headlines, and to sell #4 jerseys.

A lot of what the Jets have done recently has not been what the fans wanted. For Jenkins to make this point now makes no sense to me. Maybe he is still annoyed by the way the Jets cut him.

At this point, what is he talking about?

I will admit that I did want Favre back in the day and even though short term we lost out (Pennington went on to have a career year), long term we were better off (Pennington wasn’t winning us a super bowl in 2008, got hurt again in 2009, and 2008 playoffs=no rex ryan).

But with Tebow?  I agree wholeheartedly.  I still have trouble explaining the move to non Jet fan friends of mine.  I basically tell them “you’re asking me to explain something that I didn’t want and still don’t understand the rationale behind”

I never wanted Tebow and still get it, although I really hope they know what they are doing, and therefore prove us wrong.

As far as Favre, I hated it too. I actually have more faith in Pennington than most. I think he would have had a better year with the Jets than Favre did, and the way they treated Pennington was ridiculous. He was a good performer for the Jets, and they should have at least showed enough respect to his ability to trade him out of the division.

Thanks for reading, I always appreciate your comments.
