Braylon Edwards will Not Return to the Jets

Jan 16, 2011; Foxboro, MA, USA; New York Jets receiver Braylon Edwards celebrates in the fourth quarter of the Jets

Who says you can’t go home again? Apparently the New York Jets say that.

Reports are surfacing this morning that the Jets have officially ended all interest in bringing back Braylon Edwards. They wanted to take a look at their wide receivers during minicamp to see what they had, and they make a move if necessary.

Apparently the Jets are happy with what they have.

It also is a very telling decision, as it shows how the Jets really feel about Braylon. Think about it, the two targets they brought in that are similar to Edwards are Chaz Schilens and Stephen Hill. Hill is a rookie, so we don’t know what he is yet. Schilens has a lot of potential, but the fact remains that due to injury he has never exceeded 400 yards receiving. Yet, these guys have been chosen over Braylon Edwards.

Interesting isn’t it?
