The Jets drafted Kerley with the 153rd choice of the 2011 NFL draft, in the fifth round, as he was projected to go.
He saw his first action in week 5 against New England, and recorded his first TD reception as a pro that day, catching a nine yard TD pass from Mark Sanchez.
He finished the year with 29 receptions for 314 yards and 1 TD. He added modest numbers in the punt return game as well, with 29 returns for 317 yards.
Clearly he will be a highly impactful player. Kerley will see a lot of action in the return game, as well as being an important target for Mark Sanchez on third down. His chemistry with Mark Sanchez should improve with this being his second year with the Jets starting quarterback. Jeremy will likely see action in the Wildcat packages as well, so you will see a lot of this guy.
