BREAKING: Kenrick Ellis Jail Sentence Split, Will Not Miss Training Camp

They apparently like their football in Virginia.

The court has approved, regarding Kenrick Ellis, that his sentence can be split into two parts, allowing him not to miss a day of training camp. He was originally slated to leave 4 days after training camp was set to begin in Cortland, now he will be released on July 9th. Kenrick will have to serve the rest of his sentence beginning March 1, 2013.

The court has also approved a work release program, that will allow Ellis to work out during the day with coaches from his alma mater, Hampton University. The jail must approve as well, but according to Ellis’ lawyer, that is a formality.

Not to say this isn’t good, but if he committed a crime, let’s just say it’s nice to be a football player isn’t it?
