No Extension for Dustin Keller Yet

Remember a while back, while the whole Sanchez/Tebow thing was going on, there was some talk that the Jets were working on an extension for tight end Dustin Keller?

Well, maybe not. Although Keller is entering the final year of his rookie deal, a source is reporting that there have been no talks between the Jets and Dustin Keller’s camp.

This may not be a sign of trouble, as the Jets have signed a lot of young players to extensions either just prior to or during training camp. Nick Mangold, and David Harris are two examples of young players that were signed in this format.

They just need to get it done. He is the safety blanket for Mark Sanchez, and essential for this team to get the job done. Now Mike Tannenbaum, get THIS job done.
