Rex is happy with the uptempo nature, saying it says to the offense that no other tempo is acceptable. It also reiterates what his dad Buddy used to say, “Don’t let the only limitations your players have be you as a coach.”

Tony Sparano has one thing in mind when teaching this offense:

“We’re preaching physical here, and we want to teach physical,” Sparano said. “But words are words … We’ll get a chance to line up somewhere down the road and measure it.”

He’s right about words being words, hopefully it will translate into plays.
