Tebow nation, get your DVRs ready. Check this out:
SI.com has learned that the Jets’ quarterback will be the subject of a 30-minute special airing on E! Entertainment Television sometime in July. A league source says the show is being done without Tebow’s participation.
Good thing this is going to be on, it’s not like there will be any media coverage on this guy(tongue in cheek).
I don’t blame Tebow for this, because he apparently has nothing to do with this. This is just crazy. I mean, I can’t think of a special involving a Jets player other than Joe Namath. And he certainly doesn’t rise to that level.
This is what worries me. This overdrive of media coverage will make the QB situation more intense than it naturally will be.
Alan has been a passionate Jets fan since 1985. Obviously, that means he is a glutton for punishment, as he has suffered through many Jets disappointments. He remembers Mark Gastineau's late hit in the 1986 AFC Divisional Playoff game like it was yesterday. There have been many more failures than successes, but through it all, Alan has remained true to the Gang Green. He has been blogging for the Jets on various websites for the past 5-6 years. He lives and breathes the NY Jets all year round, and is committed to bringing the Jets passion to "The Jet Press" on a daily basis. Alan has also been recently named to the Pro Football Writers Association. Like what you read? Hit him up on twitter at @thejetpress
