If he can fill that bill as a “cover safety”, this will be a big step in the Jets closing the gap with their arch rivals, the New England Patriots.

That would make him one of the big steals of the entire draft if that happens. Take that, experts that said the Jets had a bad draft.

OK, maybe take that. We don’t know yet, but we will soon enough.
