The Jets are losing a skilled talent evaluator tonight.

Adam Schefter is reporting that Jets VP of scouting Joey Clinkscales, is leaving his post with the New York Jets to take a “prominent front office position” with the Oakland Raiders.

The Jets are losing a talented guy, who prior to being the VP of college scouting, scouted Nick Mangold, D’Brickashaw Ferguson and Darrelle Revis among others. He also was an instrumental player, after he ascended to his position, in the trade up in 2009 to acquire Mark Sanchez.

He will be missed in the Jets organization.
