Quinton Coples to Stand Up and Rush Passer After All?

Remember after the draft, when coach Rex Ryan said that Quinton Coples was going to be a hand in the dirt pass rusher exclusively? It seems like Rex has started to change his mind about that a bit. Here is what coach had to say on the subject following minicamp yesterday:

“Could we stand him up from a rush position?” Ryan said on Friday. “Yes we can. He has that kind of ability.”

It’s still early, but this is probably a better way to go on Coples.  When you have a guy this talented, make the defense have a harder time preparing for him.  Move him around, change things up.  Give offensive coordinators something to think about.
