Chandler Jones Didn’t Think the Jets Would Pass on Him

Before Syracuse’s Chandler Jones got drafted by New England, he thought he was going to be chosen by another team. That team? Our very own New York Jets.

“Around 15 through 20. My agent was telling me, ‘The Jets are getting ready to get you. The Jets called me. They’re going to draft you.’ So I am sitting here waiting. They were still on the clock and my phone didn’t ring,” Jones told Zolak on WBZ-TV in Boston.

This is not to say that the Jets did anything wrong.  Jones could have misunderstood the Jets intentions, the Jets could change their mind.  This happens all the time in the NFL.

My point is, if he feels slighted, and now he is on our heated rival, will he be playing with  a chip on his shoulder when the two teams clash?

If so, it will be an interesting matchup in the trenches.
