This morning we take a look at another undrafted signee of the Jets. Spotlight on TE Brian Linthicum, Michigan State.

Visit our friends at for a full scouting report.

He’s big, at 6’4″ 249 pounds, runs a 4.87 second 40 yard dash.

He became a starter in 2011, and recorded 31 receptions for 364 yards.

PROS: He has above average hands, and is a decent blocker at both the point of attack, and the second level.

CONS: He doesn’t have great speed, evidenced by the 4.87 timing in the forty.  He has had some off the field troubles, which is something the Jets don’t need around.

I don’t know if he has the ability to really make a run at making this team, at any other spot other than special teams on the back hand of the roster.  We wish him luck though, will certainly get his chance to compete.
