Our Thoughts on Josh Bush

The Jets selected Josh Bush today, free safety from Wake Forest. He’s a bit small at 5’11″, but he does run a 4.58 40 yard dash. Not elite speed, but not slow either.

He has good hands, and instincts, as he was moved to free safety this past season, and he recorded 6 INTs. He also reads the quarterback’s eyes very well.

He needs to finish his tackles better, and stay healthy, as durability has been an issue in his college career.

It’s not a bad pick, if healthy, he could help as an extra DB in dime situations.

Here’s Bucky Brooks from nfl.com-

Bush is a smart, instinctive safety with the intangibles scouts covet in play callers in the secondary. He will fight for time as a backup in a talented Jets secondary
