The Jets are projected to take a pass rusher on the first round for the first time since 2008. Remember that one? It was the guy to the right, Vernon Gholston. Take a look at Rich Cimini’s post about the draft:
Not a lot to say on this, Rich is absolutely right. The defense is missing, therefore Rex is seeking his Terrell Suggs. The Jets defense would be very tough with a guy like that. Will it be Ingram, or a lower tier guy? It’s almost the day to find out.
Alan has been a passionate Jets fan since 1985. Obviously, that means he is a glutton for punishment, as he has suffered through many Jets disappointments. He remembers Mark Gastineau's late hit in the 1986 AFC Divisional Playoff game like it was yesterday. There have been many more failures than successes, but through it all, Alan has remained true to the Gang Green. He has been blogging for the Jets on various websites for the past 5-6 years. He lives and breathes the NY Jets all year round, and is committed to bringing the Jets passion to "The Jet Press" on a daily basis. Alan has also been recently named to the Pro Football Writers Association. Like what you read? Hit him up on twitter at @thejetpress
