Sean Payton to Appeal His Season Long Suspension

Reports are indicating this afternoon that, as expected, Saints head coach Sean Payton is going to appeal his year long suspension, for his role in the bounty situation.

It could get interesting because, say it is reduced to 8 games, that makes it less likely that there will be a name like Bill Parcells to come in and take the interim position.

Personally I am not sure how an appeal will work out at all because, who is he appealing to as a coach? The commissioner? Last time I checked it was his call. Unless they bring in someone independent of the league, not sure there is a point to an appeal, but we will find out.
