Jets Re-Sign WR Scotty McKnight

Jets re-sign the injured WR. Done to appease Sanchez? Mandatory Credit:Noah K. Murray /THE STAR-LEDGER via US PRESSWIRE

The Jets announced today that they re-signed WR Scotty McKnight. McKnight, if you recall, was a seventh round pick in 2011, didn’t make the team, and was on injured reserve after sustaining a major injury in practice.

McKnight is from USC, and played with Mark Sanchez. They were always close, and it makes you wonder if this was done to give Mark an olive branch after the Tebow thing. I mean, why would you re-sign a player that was severely injured in practice, only five months after the injury?
