Could be some big news coming from the league today.
Adam Schefter is reporting that the league has found out that former Saints DC Gregg Williams, along with 22-27 defensive players, and an assistant coach, administed a bounty program. For those who don’t know, this refers to naming players that they are intent on injuring, and whomever causes the injury receives payment, a “bounty”, for the service.
The investigation entailed reviewing over 18,000 documents totalling around 50,000 pages. Commissioner Roger Goodell will determine discipline, which could involve suspensions, fines, and/or forfeiture of draft picks.
I am sure there is more to come.
