PLAYOFF UPDATE: Home Teams Hold Serve as Texans and Saints Win

The home teams won both games today as Wildcard weekend began, and both in convincing fashion.

In the early game, the Texans ousted the Bengals 31-10, led by Arian Foster’s 153 yards rushing.  The Texans will be in Baltimore next Sunday at 1 PM to face the Ravens.

Over 1,000 yards of offense were posted in the late game, and the Lions led 14-10 at halftime, but a huge second half by Drew Brees led to a 45-28 victory for the Saints.  The Saints put up 35 points in the second half, and Drew Brees threw for 466 yards and 3 TDs to send his Saints to San Fransisco next Saturday at 4 PM to face the Forty Niners.

That means the winner of the Giants vs. Falcons will head to Green Bay, and the winner of Pittsburgh vs. Denver will face the Patriots.
