BREAKING NEWS: Todd Haley Out in Kansas City

This just in to the The Jet Press.  Albert Breer of nfl.com, among others, is reporting this morning that Kansas City Chiefs coach Todd Haley has been relieved of his duties, effective immediately.  This has been confirmed on the Chiefs’ website.

“Todd helped this team in many valuable ways over the past three seasons, and I am thankful for his contributions,” Chiefs General Manager Scott Pioli said. “Unfortunately, we have not been able to establish the kind of consistency we need to continue to build a strong foundation for the future and we believe a change is important at this time.”

A press conference is scheduled for later on today.  No word on an interim replacement at this time.
