Tebow, Broncos defeat Chargers in overtime; Playoff implications for Jets

We’ve said it before, and will keep saying it until proven wrong:  Tim Tebow is for real.

The Denver Broncos, on a 27 yard FG from Matt Prater with 33 seconds left in Overtime, defeated the San Diego Chargers 16-13.

With the victory, Tebow becomes 5-1 as a starter and has led the Broncos (6-5) to 4 straight wins.

With the loss, the Chargers are 4-7 and have lost 6 games in a row.

As for the playoffs, the New York Jets (6-5) remain 1 game behind the Broncos and Cincinnati Bengals (7-4) for the 2nd and final wild card spot.  The Pittsburgh Steelers (7-3) have the first wild card spot and play the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday night.

For the game, Tebow was 9-18 for 143 yards and a TD.  On the ground, he had 22 rushes for 67 yards.
