Texans Matt Schaub out with foot injury; Playoff scenarios to be affected

As we detailed earlier, the New York Jets playoffs hopes could be determined by the outcomes of several teams, including the Cincinnati Bengals (6-3) and the Tennessee Titans (5-4).

Well, the Jets hopes just got weakened as news out of Houston is that Texans quarterback Matt Schaub will be out indefinitely with a foot injury.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, head coach Gary Kubiak said Schaub has a significant foot injury that will force him to miss several weeks.

The Bengals play the Texans on December 11 while the Titans finish the season at Houston on January 1.

Matt Leinert will fill-in as quarterback for the time being.
