New York Jets to induct 4 into ring of honor

Newsday is reporting that the New York Jets plan to induct four members into their ring of honor at MetLife Stadium during the teams Monday Night matchup against the Miami Dolphins on Oct. 17.

The Four members are:  Freeman McNeil, Al Toon, Larry Grantham and Gerry Philbin.

McNeil, who spent his entire career with the Jets, led the NFL in rushing in 1982.

Toon, a three time pro bowler, who also spent his entire career in Green, led the NFL in receptions in 1988 with 93.

Grantham and Philbin were defensive members of the Jets team that defeated the Colts in Super Bowl III.

The four members will join the inaugural class from last season that included Joe Namath, Curtis Martin, Winson Hill, Weeb Ewbank, Joe Klecko and Don Maynard.
