Colts Peyton Manning undergoes surgery on neck

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports that Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning had cervical fusion surgery today on his neck.  The expected recovery is 2-3 months at best.

While it is currently expected that Manning will recover and play again, possibly this year, don’t expect to see him on the field anytime soon.

Manning has had two neck surgeries in the past two years and reportedly consulted with a half-dozen doctors before agreeing to the most recent cervical neck fusion surgery.
