Jaguars release of David Garrard will help Jets

It might have gotten lost in the shuffle this week, but the release of QB David Garrard by the Jacksonville Jaguars will pay handsome dividends to the New York Jets come week 2.

You see, Week 2 is when the Jaguars come to MetLife stadium to face the Jets with Luke McCown likely to be the starting QB.

With a schedule that features a road game in Oakland, followed by Baltimore, New England, Miami and San Diego, the Jets could use all the help they can get.  Luke McCown will surely help.
