Rex Ryan refused to wish Shaun Ellis well with Patriots

This may be taking it a little too far, even for Rex Ryan.

The New York Jets head coach, in response to hearing that Shaun Ellis had refused an offer to remain with the Jets and, instead chose to sign a one-year deal with the New England Patriots, refused to wish the former DE well.

“The fact that he chose them . . . there’s no way I’m going to wish him well.  There’s no chance of that.”

Manish Mehta of the Daily News reports that Ellis wanted to stay with the Jets but the team wouldn’t give him an extension.
