Late News Roundup: Jay-Co Asked to be Traded, Ellis works out For Pats

Late news coming out of Jets camp this afternoon, Jerricho Cotchery actually asked to be traded or released today, per Manish Mehta of the NY Daily News among others.  It is unclear as to why he made the request, and Rex tried to convince Jerricho to stay, obviously to no avail.

And, in the continuing rivalry with our friends up in New England, the Patriots worked out Shaun Ellis today.  Not surprising as the two teams like to feed on their former opponents.

In the kicking battle in camp today, Nick Folk went 2 for 4 in FG attempts, pushing 2, one from 41 and one from 45 wide right, while Nick Novak was a perfect 4 for 4.  I guess we have a kicking competition in Florham Park.
