New York Giants allow Osi Umenyiora to seek trade

The New York Giants have reportedly allowed Osi Umenyiora to seek a trade, according to ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio.

While the news sounds good for Camp Osi, apparently the Giants want a first round pick in exchange.

Umenyiora will remain at Giants camp while trade talks happen.

The New York Jets, losers in the Nnamdi Asomugha deal, could benefit nicely here.  Always in need of a pass rusher, and with money to spend, the Jets could end up with a fantastic offseason after the acquisitions of Santonio Holmes, Plaxico Burress and Antonio Cromartie.
