Texans in the lead for Asomugha

Michael Lombardi of NFL Network is reporting that the Houston Texans are currently in the lead to sign CB Nnamdi Asomugha.

With the New York Jets reportedly able to pay around $12 million per season, Lombardi believes the Texans are somewhere between $12-14 million per season.

If those numbers are true, then Asomugha would be giving up the opportunity to play for the Jets, and live in New York for approximately $2 million per year.

Someone should tell him that endorsements alone would cover the difference.
