The New York Jets love to make a splash.
Signing Nnamdi Asomugha would be a tidal wave.
Well places sources have reported that talks between the Jets and Asomugha have rised to the point of “serious” with the Jets figuring out a way to pay for Asomugh’s reported demand of over $11.5 million a year salary.
Once thought of destination, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, have decided to keep CB Aqib Talib. In addition, GM Mark Dominik, when asked about Asomugha, said: “The way we’ve been building this football team . . . over the last couple of years, I think there’s a blueprint that’s already sitting in front of you all, and we’re going to follow that blueprint,” Dominik said via the St. Petersburg Times.
If anyone can figure out how to sign Asomugha, it’s Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum, so stay tuned throughout the day for a huge announcement from Jets camp.
