Jets Damien Woody retires

The New York Jets made every attempt to re-sign tackle Damien Woody.   In the end, it wasn’t enough.

Damien Woody has retired from the NFL.

Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News broke the story and has reported that the Jets have re-signed tackle Wayne Hunter to a four-year contract.

A first round draft pick by Pete Carroll in New England, Woody would then go to the Detroit Lions before finishing his career with three years in New York.
