NFL lockout over: What is means for the New York Jets

It’s over, folks.

Back to work.

We will dissect what the NFL lockout means at a later date, but for now, the free agency period will shortly begin and the New York Jets will have company when it comes to Santonio Holmes.  Rumors have the Washington Redskins making a play for the WR, which could mean big trouble for the Jets.  Either the Jets will overspend for Holmes and not be able to sign fellow FA Antonio Cromartie and Braylon Edwards or the Jets will lose Holmes at which point panic will creep in and the team will be severely hampered at the WR position this season.

Stay tuned for updates throughout the day on what the end of the NFL lockout will mean for signings, trades and practice schedules.
