Randy Moss ready to be a difference maker

The New York Jets need a big WR.

With a deal between the NFL owners and players only days away, the NFL free agency period will begin with a flurry.  With free agents Santonio Holmes and Braylon Edwards ready to cash in on their most recent success, the Jets need to be realistic about their chances of signing both players.

Enter Randy Moss.

The free agent WR is ready to prove his doubters wrong and regain that form that made him the NFL’s top WR.  Or so his agent says…

Joel Segal, Moss’ agent, says the veteran wide receiver is ready to return to the field:

“Randy has been working out, two-a-days, all spring and summer in West Virginia,” Segal said. “He is determined, motivated and quite frankly has a huge chip on his shoulder. Whatever team ends up getting Randy, they’re going to know they’re getting the old Randy Moss. He’s not just coming in to be on the team, he’s going to be Randy Moss — a difference maker.”

Yes, he will be 34 years old this season, but Randy Moss can still be a deadly option.  We all know Jets head coach Rex Ryan’s ability to reform players, but Moss could be his biggest challenge yet.

Why on earth are the ESPN robots looping over and over that last season was proof positive that Moss isn’t a legit WR anymore. The guy only scored 5TD’s on three teams that literally were ignoring him. Luckily both Brady and Favre’s muscle memory pulled the trigger when they saw him open, otherwise he would have never even got targeted.

Ask Revis. Ask Favre. Ask Ryan. Moss scored two TD’s on the Jets with two different teams one of them on the shut down Revis.

man, whoever gets him this year, will really luck out, if they choose to respect the HOFer and scheme him in to the game plan.

just think of Deshaun Jackson, but two feet higher!
